Dawn's Coffee

The First Dawn

It’s 6:00am. The first shades of light are appearing over the horizon. Like purple and orange waves, they pass through a cluster of milky clouds. They kindly float on the waves of light, in the ocean of the sky. The songs of birds fly beyond the dark landscape, now sailing and then descending. The autumn scents dance in the fresh breeze: they smell of wet flowers. The night is slowly disappearing in a fresh, yet comforting, hug.

The early morning is a special time, when the quiet atmosphere and the fresh air allows for a moment of reflection, after the silent darkness of the night, before the excited lightness of the day. There is a regenerative power in it, the hope to free the mind from past thoughts and worries. And maybe, also a way to give a new meaning to the same things.

That is how my day - and my blog - begins: a slow awake at the first shades of dawn, with a shy hope for the new comings. And a cup of coffee on the desk.
